This unique event focuses exclusively on the design, development and production of medical devices (of all classes) IVD’s, dental and healthcare. It serves the needs of the UK’s diversemedical device manufacturing industry, the third largest in Europe.

It is the sister event to the similarly focused, highly regarded and respected Medical Technology Ireland, now in its sixth year.

Medical Technology UK 2023 is a two-day exhibition showcasing 150 specialist companies from all tiers of the medical device manufacturing supply chain. In tandem with the unrivalled exhibition is the Learning Programme. Together, it is an event that is designed to inform, educate, inspire and aid the process of bringing next generation and new medical devices to market, more efficiently, profitably and effectively.

Part of this years Learning Programme, Prof. Tony Young, National Clinical Lead for Innovation at NHS England will be chairing and presenting in a conference session on the Future of Medical Technology Innovation on Wednesday 22 March. Together with Alex Driver, Head of Industrial Design, Team Consulting; Steve May-Russell, CEO, Smallfry; and Morven Shearlaw, Co-founder & Director, Fearsome, it’s a must attend for all medical device design and R&D engineers.

The illuminating Young MedTech Entrepreneurs” conference session will be chaired byProf. Graham Ball, Director of Medical Technologies Research Centre at Anglia Ruskin University, on Thursday 23 March at 10.30 – 12.30. He will present on Integrating Academic, Clinical and Commercial Med Tech Development through the Medical Technology Research Centre of Anglia Ruskin University and introduce some award winning, young entrepreneurs including James Roberts, CEO of mOm Incubators; Joseph Bentley, Founder & Managing Director of ACT Medical and Kate Walker, Founder & CEOat Exphand Prosthetics.

The ever popular Women in MedTech Forum, chaired by Dr Helen Meese, CEO and Founder of the Care Machine, features a fantastic line-up of speakers this year including Michelle Sullivan, Head of Public Affairs, UK & Ireland at Boston Scientific; Noor Jaffar, Process Engineer, Maintenance and Engineering at Baxter Healthcare Corporation; Beth Hindle, Senior Design Assurance Engineer at Stryker; and Mary Ryan, Director of Innovation, Technology & Regulatory Affairs at Penlon.  Don’t miss this chance to hear about the career journeys and forward-thinking initiatives these amazing women will share on Thursday 23 March at 12.45 – 14.15.
