Medilink East Midlands to hold annual Innovation Day event

Medilink East Midlands are set to hold an Innovation Day event on Thursday 4thJuly 2019. This annual event – the premier life sciences event in the region – is held in The Nottingham Belfry, Nottingham. This year’s event is set to be the best yet: over 250 delegates, as well as in excess of 30 exhibitors, are expected to attend.

The event will consist of a conference, an exhibition and an awards dinner, providing participants with ample networking opportunities. Anyone interested in the life sciences sector is welcome to attend, from academics to business of all sizes and clinicians interested in showcased products.

The conference and dinner will be hosted by Science Writer and Broadcaster, Sue Nelson, and will feature various speakers. These include Professor Chas Bountra, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Innovation at the University of Oxford and Chris Barker, CEO of Spirit Healthcare, amongst others.

In addition, several Medilink member companies will deliver presentations on exciting topics, covering the latest in research and innovation. Jon Michaelis, Managing Director of Neater Solutions, will discuss ‘Dinner with a Robot’, whilst the Director of Footfalls and Heartbeats, Simon McMaster, will present on the use of smart textiles in 21stcentury healthcare.

This event provides fantastic opportunities to network with industry peers and to catch up with the latest in healthcare innovation.
