MEDICA is returning as a face-to-face event again in November this year, resuming its place as the world’s largest medical trade fair for medical technology, electromedical equipment, laboratory equipment, diagnostics and pharmaceuticals.
Following what has been a tough year for many businesses in the sector – with the challenges of COVID-19 compounded by global supply chain disruptions – the annual fair will provide a place for visitors to experience tomorrow’s healthcare market live, a huge step towards reaching normality once more.
As usual the exhibition will be opportunity-rich, giving insights into all the latest developments in the rapidly advancing medical world.
Europe and the USA are still the main export markets for medical-equipment companies, and at the event a number of exciting exhibitors from the UK will be bringing their comprehensive portfolios of medical products, devices and instruments to demonstrate how they can help to address some of the biggest challenges the global healthcare industry faces.
Giving them a solid platform from which to connect with new partners is the UK Pavilion, which will act as a hive of innovation showcasing the best of British HealthTech.
ABHI International Managing Director Paul Benton comments: “Following months of uncertainties, during which time a number of shows in the UK and internationally were cancelled, the UK medical industry is eager to get back to business. The pandemic, coupled with huge demand on global supply chains, has thrown up a number of challenges, but the industry as a whole remains optimistic and looks forward to reuniting once more at MEDICA 2021.”
A number of these companies will also be launching new innovations designed to improve outcomes for patients and make the lives of clinicians easier, covering everything from critical care to surgical innovations and non-contact diagnostics. This includes:
UK manufacturer Armstrong Medical – who will be launching their therapy-enhancing AquaVENT® VT ventilator circuits.
DDC Dolphin – a specialist sluice/dirty utility room equipment manufacturer, who will showcase their ground-breaking new medical pulp macerator.
Medical equipment manufacturer Medezine – who will be launching their innovative new range of medical saws.
PolyNovo UK Ltd – who are launching their revolutionary NovoSorb BTM (Biodegradable Temporising Matrix) technology.
TriMedika – who will showcase their game-changing non-contact infrared thermometer TRITEMP™.
MedTech start-up Occuity – who will launch the world’s first handheld, non-contacting optical pachymeter.
Surtex Instruments – who will be showcasing their new Infinex series of surgical instruments.
MEDICA takes place in Düsseldorf, Germany, 15 – 18 November 2021.
